Hi all, thought many of you here may be interested in this site we’re currently building: it’s AiFlix.
Basically it’s a free-to-use site dedicated to AI films in specific while YouTube is for any kind of videos and a feed site and Netflix or other streaming platforms not free-to-use and not having any/most AI films.
A key feature is that it’s not just for watching AI films but also for creating new ones where a key difference to other sites (other than the watch-integration) is that films are generally made together with others: you can find projects in progress and team up or find some collaborators so you can complement each other’s strengths/skills.

If you’ve spent any time trying to find good AI-generated films or other free films on YouTube, you know the experience: an endless YouTube grid with no curation, no context, no way to know what’s actually worth your time in a mix of full-length films and videos of all sorts.
This is not the experience people are accustomed to with Netflix, Amazon Prime and other streaming services that by now have largely replaced television for most. Netflix and chill has become a pop-culture slang term — until now there was no way to sit back, quickly select a good-quality AI-powered film and relax.
We built AiFlix to fix that. Here’s what makes it genuinely different.
A Netflix-like experience, built specifically for AI cinema
One of the first thing you’ll notice is what’s missing: no clickbait titles, no autoplay chaos of unrelated videos, no ‘promoted’ videos or recommended non-film videos, no algorithmic rabbit holes. AiFlix is a distraction-free media center so you can find easily and quickly exactly which type of films you enjoy the most or would like to watch right now — genre shelves, a personal watchlist, continue watching, mark as seen.
The familiar controls you expect from a streaming platform, applied together to AI films for the first time. With the the world’s largest curated AI films database, you can now browse AI films comfortably.
The Time Machine
This is a feature most people don’t expect — an example of how we’re building something truly novel, made possible by AI and built around its unique characteristics and strengths. AI video models are great for visualizing how the past looked like with immersive experiences that make it easier to imagine what daily life or historic events were like in the past.
With history vlogger Chloe vs History launched in February 2026 by UK creator Jonathan Laramy, this format has reached a mass audience over YouTube with millions of view per episode. These kinds of ‘time travel’ videos are a new phenomenon in edutainment — Chloe is not the only time traveling vlogger and there also are history and prehistory documentaries which deploy a more traditional narrative style but still show elaborate AI restorations of a particular time.
Now we’re making it possible to watch such edutainment AI films by the time they show — the interactive visualizer is an animated timeline spanning from 100 million BCE to 2100 CE. Drag to zoom, snap to a decade, and browse every AI documentary or time travel episode set in that period.
With this interactive chart (vertical bars and clipped moving average), you can see which periods of history have most or least films available and jump to whatever period interests you or where you’d like to start.
On the decade page, you can then find all films about that decade and sort them for example by rating. On their film pages, one dedicated Chronology panel allows you to easily go to other films set in next or prior years and another panel allows you to go to another episode in next or prior years of the specific series you’re currently watching.
A notable example here is the documentary series by Paladin — Reconstructing History in which for example a full day is reconstructed for various people of past societies of specific eras or years. With our Time Machine, you can learn more about a certain era and then move to the next. History but more fun.
Nothing like this exists anywhere else to the best of our knowledge.
Fact-checking AI documentaries and historical films
Reading our introduction of the Time Machine, you may have the concern about inaccurate, if not history-falsifying, AI-generated content. Unlike other sites, we take misinformation very seriously and this large number of new history AI films makes it ever more difficult to separate misinformation from high-quality immersive edutainment.
AiFlix lets viewers flag specific claims with severity levels, timestamps, and optional citations — and other users can then easily see, challenge or support those reports. It’s a lightweight peer-review layer built directly into the viewing experience.
A concern here probably is that we don’t have enough users yet, especially not historians and other experts and enthusiasts who know a lot about these eras. This is correct – we have built an AI-powered fact checking tool that watches these films and reads YouTube comments to seed our inaccuracies with a baseline fact-check per film which as far as our testing goes is already very useful to learn about inaccuracies in a given film and better distinguish low-quality AI “slop” some may say from well-researched quality edutainment.
In addition, to this collaborative fact-checking list per AI film, we’re building an accuracy score for series and channels (content creators) which can be used more readily for filtering and sorting or seeing the overall score at a glance.
No such fact-checking exists on YouTube, Netflix, or any other relevant streaming platform. Comments on these sites if possible and visible at all which name some inaccuracy in nearly all cases aren’t easy to see and won’t be read. We’re building such fact-checking for the first time – for AI content. If AI misinformation is a concern to you, or online misinformation more broadly, here’s a great way to start mitigating it. Few people go to niche sites like CaptainFact which is the only comparable alternative we know of — the inaccuracies need to be visible where people watch.

Ratings that actually mean something
YouTube’s like/dislike ratio tells you almost nothing. For views it’s even less meaningful: videos can get paid promotion, happen to be posted by already-popular channels, or catch eyeballs through clickbait thumbnails and titles and so on or become a ‘viral’ video. AiFlix has 5-star ratings per episode and per series, with full rating distribution visible. You can rate an individual episode, the series as a whole, or both — and see how your opinion compares to everyone else’s.
Our algorithms are explicitly meant to get quality content surfaced and easy to find and they’re transparent. A next generation of always-better AI films is our goal, not ever larger quantities. If you prefer to sort using YouTube’s measures, you can still customize how your Best sorting works and instead have it sort by YouTube likes–views ratios.
Follow series and creators
Subscribe to a series and get notified when a new episodes drops. No more countless notifications about shorts and unrelated videos, showing when you don’t want to watch series episodes getting lost soon if not ignored. The site is for films and series only (including short films).
Support the creators whose work you love by subscribing to their premium content or give them a follow to be notified about any new film or full episode by them. AI filmmaking is often a solo or tiny-team effort with real passion behind it — AiFlix makes those creators more visible.
For AI films to have a bright future, creators need to cover costs
While AI films are orders of magnitude cheaper than the films of Hollywood’s billion-dollar studios, it still costs creators real money and time to make these. It often needs many takes per scene and to most creators, their video generation is not for free.
Currently, creators who want to create great films out of passion have to take utmost attention to whatever YouTube’s algorithms incentivizes them to do — and that is rarely truly-original creative quality content – and even then struggle to monetize their videos enough to cover costs and generate some income for all the time they spent on it.
We’re building the site for creators and are actively asking for feedback by them so we can have a sustainable economy of creative digital artists creating quality films with cutting edge AI tools that generate some profit — even when for them this is generally about creativity, art, and passion and not much about money as films should have always been.
On the site, they can post premium content where subscribers can for example learn from their making-of videos or publish a premium-only series that only users with premium can watch. We also have some further ideas like a marketplace for film starter packages or series-related products. Collaborative filmmaking — built in
AiFlix isn’t just a viewer platform. Community film projects and a built-in Studio (currently in alpha) lets teams co-create AI films together — tracking a full production workflow from Planning through Prompting, and Post-production.
Shared ideas and lore about the story’s world, character sheets, location images, scene videos with version history — everything a small AI film team needs in one place. With so many film resources it’s important to keep things organized and overseeable. On these pages, the film assets are ready to use as input for AI video models that can be best used from within the AiFlix Studio.
AiFlix enables people sharing interests to find each other and collaboratively create great films through the combination of their personal strengths. Go to the projects page and create a new film project for free with up to 3GB of storage for organized film assets or join any of the ones already in production by providing suggestions or requesting the director role.
